Thread: humidifier

  1. humidifier

Did anyone have a humidifier installed after closing? If you did can you let me know where you purchased it and what was the cost including installation.

In addition did you have a new thermastat installed that measures the humidity level and has a control to adjust the humidity levels.

I was thinking I would wait and have a humidifier installed at the same time the AC is put in. But, I think my humidity levels are dropping and i want to make sure I dont damage the hardwood.

I think for hardwood the humidity levels should be 45%.....and my humidity level is dropping, now it is 39-40%

    Thanks,

  2. Hey jrb, sorry I have no info on a humidifier but I was wondering if you had any pictures of the whole southgate end finished. I havent seen a finished model and am getting a little antsy.

    Thanks

  3. Hi,

I have some pics under a thread "Phase 6 update"......

If you want more pics beyond that let me know. If you live in the area, your welcome to come over for a house tour.........

The Southgate End is a great layout.

If you have any questions feel free to ask....

  4. I'm also curious as to whether or not the thermostat needs to upgraded or changed when adding an AC and humidifier after close. We are doing the AC and humidifier right away after we close and I never really thought about the thermostat needing and changing. Can anyone who has done this comment?

  5. I called "Aircor Ltd" in Cambridge and asked that question. I want to get an AC and humidifier installed in April. Shaunn an employee there has a Mattamy Townhouse in the Millpond, i think in Phase 4. At least I think he still has it.

My neighbours installed a new thermastat that measured humidity and they had to hard wire it to the thermastat I believe. But, i think it is not necessary. When I talked to Aircor Ltd., the humidiifire that I would purchase from them would not be wired to the thermastat. But dont ask me the technical questions about how the humidity levels are measured etc...lol

You should call them and ask for Shaunn. The number is 519-220-0701
