Hello everyone....some may know me as Hespeler Boy but I made a new account using my girlfriend and I names. I see that the Southgate is a pretty popular topic in the threads but what about the other end unit..."The Hespeler"?? I'm just curious to see who got the better of the 2 end units...lol
I am so glad I saw this...........LOL.............I wrote down your number for an air conditioner and humidifier........
I am hoping to contact you early spring in 2010.......LOL.........I take possession Oct 2009...
I was tempted by the Hespler End......but when I went to buy mine, all Hespler ends were gone...........
AT that time I did not realize they were building more phases of townhouses....
I like the eat in kitchen in the Southgate end......and the open staicase......and the bedroom layout.....and bigger front pourch...
But in Hespler end, i like the front hall way........and big window in the upstairs bathroom......
There is a pic in the mitlon room with a model similar to Hespler end, called the Hillsview, with dark hardwood in the great room and dining and it looks beautiful............with dark cabinets........

Hey jrb...You can call me anytime if you have any questions....
I like the southgate layout of the upstairs much more than the hespeler, I'm not fond of the long hallway in the hespeler.
The reason we chose the hespler is the fact that the dining room, kitchen and great room are all connected. The southgates dining room feels secluded from the rest of the area on that floor.
Our hespeler end unit came with a wider front porch....elevation "D"....way nicer than "C".
I'm gonna check out that unit you mentioned on the milton site....thanks!
Hey,
Let me know what you think of the hillsview model pics with the dark floor and cupboards........Nice thing is that there are pics of the rooms with light floors as well.............It looks so elegant with the dark floors....LOL................But i still cant decide, Cocoa cupboards and matching floor or a dark honey oak floor colour and cupboards.....LOL
Nice thing about the Southgate End, the front formal room can be used as a living room or dining room..........so it gives a bit more flexibiltiy.....

Jason... I think that hillsview model in awesome! The cupboard colour is EXACTLY what I want for our unit!. It just looks like its straight out of a magazine. My girlfriend wasn't too fond of the the darker cabinets with the red in them, she like that darker brown, but after those pics she changed her mind. We have stainless appliances so its gonna look great. I'm also gonna ask about adding that bar to the sink since the hespeler end doesnt come with the bar.
The southgate has more good than bad points, but its that room in the front that gets me.....we're open concept people and it just doesn't work for us having that room all by itself...lol
Hey Shauun,
The nice thing about those pics is that it shows that model with dark floor and cupboards, a lighter floor and that model with carpet.
I cant believe how much better it looks with the dark floor and cupboards............even the darker counter...........[i think pendant lights over the counter are an extra]
But, I still cant make up my mind for my Southgate End, dark floor and cupboards, or darker honey oak colour .....lol I know i dont like light floors, The colorado Mirage floor is darker, but a darker honey oak colour...lol

Hello,
We've purchased the Hespeler End unit, Lot 9-3 closing April 2009. What pictures are you talking about? Where can I find them? We went with the dark cupboards as well, but the dark chocolate.
Let me know.
Gillian

The pictures are really nice!! I feel more reassured we made the right choice on the colour of cabinets.
I love the dark cabinets!!!

Our townhouse is drywalled!! It makes a lot of difference to actually see the room sizes when everything is drywalled!
What is usually the next step? Putting the ceramic tiles? Not sure, if anyone knows, let me know!

Hi Gillian,
After the drywall is up and taped, they will start to primer the house. They will put up the trim around windows, doors and baseboards. After that they will do tiling and attach some interior doors.
