Hi All,

I know that the Monterry Maple Cocoa cabinet is very popular.

I went to the design center to take a look at it today.......

I really like that style of cabinet........

Here is what i may do.....LOL

cupboard - Monterry Cocoa Maple cabinet
Backsplash - Tumbled Marble Mosaic travertine light subway tile
Floor - Anatolia Beige
Counter - Travertine.........i like butter cream as well, just not sure if it is too busy]

Hardwood on first floor - Colarado Red Oak.......
Flat ceilings first floor, under counter lighting.........Oak stair case with victorian newell post [risers, pickets, stringer trim color, handrail and treads stained]

Has anyone else considered these combinations..............

Nice Jrb! It truly is what makes you happy and what you feel will look good! We also went with the Monterrey Cocoa maple cabinets along with the deer brown granite which is a greyish granite color with bevel edge! for tiles we went with Olympia 12 x12 Banff light grey in the kitchen and all other tiled areas! And we went with Bruce dundee oak Expresso hardwood! We are getting our backsplash done after market to what we currently have and that is mirrored backsplash! We love the look and it really shows off the kitchen!

The Monterrey Cocoa Cabinets turned out to be very popular and we were impressed when we saw them at our design appointment the first day they got them in!:)

We also went with the all oak staircase with upgraded handrails and pickets as well but not square profile although we though about it! Staircase and pickets are being stained to match our hardwood!

Hi all,

I went back to the design centre today and toured through the model homes again looking at harwood floors and cupboards.....LOL

I am second guessing the Cocoa Monterry cabinets....LOL.......

The closest floor match is the "Vienna red oak"........One of the model homes has a dark floor in the great room and it really looks dark.....LOL......But, it is only in the great room i think.

I am not sure if i would want the dark floor throughout the main floor....LOL.....it may be too much..........

The model home "the greenwat model" has a darker honey oak colour looks close to "Colorado red oak".....and it really feels warm.........i may go with that.....LOL

The problem is to find a cabinet with AYR that matches without going to an upgrade................But, I may have too.....LOL

Your cabinets and your hardwood do not have to be an exact match. I think a contrast is nice too. We went with Monterrey Cocoa Maple cabinets, with Mirage Charcoal Oak hardwood. I think it's going to look great together, IMHO...

The cupboards and the hardwood aren't right next to each other in our model - we chose Anatolia Green Slate 13x13 tile - but I don't have a link to that.

Not suggesting you do this too - but just letting you know what others have decided.
