My old guy (Harry, a 14 year old orange tabby cat) is due for his checkup and I'll probably take him to my current vet before I move next month but just wondering any one knows a good vet in the area for the future.
I've noticed there are several dog owners in the forums so thought someone would have a recommendation. And no worries about old Harry with your dogs (or gardens), he's an indoor guy (and old, and not terribly adventurous...)
We've started taking our dogs here: http://www.townlineanimalhospital.com/
Only been one time but I was very impressed with how prepared Dr. Waddell was for the initial appointment. He had seemingly memorized the file on both of our dogs (no small accomplishment considering their history) and I only had the file faxed over that morning... I wish we had a doctor that was that thorough.

I've always taken my cats to the Highway 24 Vet Clinic, mainly because that's where my parents have always gone. They are pretty nice, I haven't had a problem with them. I haven't been to any other vets though, so I have nothing to compare to.

Don't go to the Hespeler Animal Hospital....we went there for heartworm meds last spring and they wanted to give every optional vaccine available...immediately. We chose to get Maeby vaccinated for Rabies every 3 years (in line with current research) and we were treated like horrible pet-parents for not topping her up every year.
Now we go to Brookville in Campbellville which is a bit of a drive but worth it.
I currently take my two cats to Kingsdale Animal Hospital in Kitchener...they are absolutely fantastic. They took great care of my Westie before he died...very caring staff. They are on Weber Street just off Highway 8...only about a 15 minute drive from Mill Pond.

Thanks for all the recommendations. This is something I like to have recommendation on before going. I'll think I'll take Harry to my current vet for this check up and look into some of your suggestions when I move - in a month! Not that Harry cares - just another stressful car ride into the unknown for him.

I have been going to Kenn Burgess for 20 years, he is fair, reasonable and very kind to animals. The last dog i had to put down I swear he shed as many tears as i did. He is located in the Depietro plaza at the corner of Elgin and Glamis Road his phone number is 622-4114. Oh and if you check prices around the area he is usually the most resonable while never jepardizing our beloved pets.

I ended up taking my cat to Dr. Waddell for some dental surgery he needed. Turns out he used to work in Kitchener at the place where my cats had been treated prior to my move. He was great with Harry, my 14 year old cat. I'll be continuing my cats care here.
