Frameless Glass Shower

Hey everyone,
My Fiance and I just picked up our design guide on Saturday and we were set on getting the frameless glass shower however after seeing the price tag on it we are reconsidering. Has anyone opted for this upgrade and if so is it worth the money?

We got the frameless glass shower. I like it but it is extra maintenance and I think if you're going to do it you should go all out and do other stuff as well like a shower seat, upgraded wall tiles, upgraded floor tiles, and upgraded grout color. A handheld shower is a must for rinsing the glass after you shower. You'll need to squeegee the glass every time or you'll be looking at water marks.

Remember a glass shower lets you see everything inside all the time so you do have to be kind of a clean freak. We put floor tiles on the walls ... they're the kind that look like slate ... see pics. This tile hides soap scum really well.

I'm glad we got the frameless glass shower, our bathroom would've looked much worse without it. I had to cut back on other stuff to afford it though.

We decided not to upgrade to the frameless glass shower from a maintenance stand point alone. I love how they look in the model homes but of course those showers have never been used before. I don't regret it at all, my shower is easier to clean as a result and as far as I am concerned, I have enough to clean with 2 wee ones running around with sticky fingers. If you get the standard stand up shower, perhaps a splurge on a glass door will make you feel better about it. Good luck whatever you decide. :)

Thanks for the feedback. The other option that I was thinking of was not doing anything through Mattamy and getting a frameless glass door from like Home Depot or Rona or something afterwards and do a little DIY. Thoughts?

Absolutely! Home Depot and Rona both have good deals. Mattamy (of course) charges way too much for this option. :)

we got the glass shower and don't regret it at all
the ones from home depot are only a door..............ours is like a wall of glass.........the whole door and have the wall to the counter........well worth it

money well spent!! we love it and its easy to clean. I would do the seat its great for storing all ur products!!!
