We were wondering if anyone else has chosen the Victoria and if they were happy with their choice . IE: What do you like and what are things you would have done differently . We do not move in until the end of the year but we can't wait .

We love the house, we got the B elevation 4 bedroom. If we could of done it all over again we would of maybe got the C for the balcony but was unsure what it was gonna look like back then.
But my daughter loves her big bay window, 9 foot ceilings would of been nice as well and too bad they also didnt have a double car garage. Its still a great layout though!

Well, we are only three weeks away from our first appointment. We still have not decided if we want to keep the wall separating the great room from the dining room.... we change our minds daily.. today we are leaning to removing it. We did go through a Vctoria without it and it seemed to make the main level feel larger. Our fiirst run through for upgrades came to $ 28,000, will have to separate needs from wants !!

WE just got them to get rid of the window wall look by making it a full wall for FREE! Seperates the Dining room from the Family room. Plus combined with the open kitchen its large enough as it is!

Thanks, mo matter which way we decide we are looking forward to moving in. However, the more we read about about Mattamy's quality issues, we are hoping evertthing turns out well. Will definitely be hiring a home inspector for PD1/30 day/1 year inspections. Did you have any issues with yours?

Some loose electrical outlets but the main issue we had and I think its a design flaw with the Victoria is the cold zones in the attic. WE WERE short changed 3 inches of insulation all in our attic and the flaw is that when you go into your attic to see the front where the cold zones showed up on our inspectors infrared camera you cant access them. The front part of the house is closed off a few feet in the attic with a framed wall to support the roof. I don't know how they are going to address it but I will be sure to let you know when we submit our forms in the next week!
Our bay window area in the four bedroom plan as well as the laundry room is cold as is the front door area, but no leaks are present at at but the camera showed a difference of like 4 to 5 degrees change in the temperature in those areas!
