Beautiful house and great choice on upgrades! I love the look of the house and I prefer either elevation B or C as the windows look really good!:)

so first greenway is almost done, and we were really disappointed to see that the top windows have fake arches instead of actual windows.
way to cheap out Mattamy, the model homes have real window arches
Hey Alex,
We were not surprised about the upstairs windows because we didn't do 9 foot ceilings and kind of figured that the windows would be less impressive as a result. For us the big surprise has been how much smaller the study nook is compaired to the model. The study nook dimensions were not posted at all in any document wehad seen, but now if you go into the sales office the large plans they have on the wall show dimensions that are 2 feet smaller than the model. Strange, and worth asking about don't you think?

we did go with 9 foot ceilings upstairs and we toured a house on the site that has the 9 foot ceilings and the windows are the square ones not the arch ones
I never really noticed the size difference, but the smaller nook means something else is bigger bedroom 4 or the hallway maybe, the exterior walls couldn't have been moved?
Wow! Even with the 9 foot ceilings, the windows are not like the model? I would be so upset. Have you asked about it?
I can only hope that the smaller nook means something is bigger because it doesn't make sense otherwise. Weird. Not a big deal of course, it's just a computer area but still...you'd think they'd let you know somehow.
Otherwise, we are loving our house and try to see it every Sunday. How about you?
Could it be that the house you toured was elevation A? Would that be the difference?

Hey Alex & Vanessa,
We also bought a Greenway. I'm concerned about the computer area being smaller too. SOmething to look into. Thanks for the info. You said you were able to tour one that is already built. Do you know the lot # ? We got the elevation A and are lot 101 phase 3.
Christina
Hi Christina,
You can look at our lot, we have both levels framed and a roof. It's a Greenway B, Phase 2 Lot 40, located on Baldwin just down from Silverthorne. You'll see what I mean about the smaller study nook. It's not unusable space, but it is much smaller than we thought it would be.

There are 2 lots that I toured Lot 76 and 79 ( baldwin east of silverthorne) they are elevation B and C.
Lot 76 has very few upgrades
Lot 79 Has almost all of them 9ft 1st and 2nd floor, fireplace gathering just to mention a few
My DC informed me that they can do the cathedral ceiling with the nice window in bedroom 4 and install a fake window transom above the window in bedroom 3, and the cost is 3129$, we decided to nevermind and deal with it, we have teh 9ft ceilings so we get the bigger windows to begin with
Christina, the Mattamy site plan says Lot 101 in P3 is a 50ft lot???
$3129?!? That's insane after all the money you have already spent. I would have made the same decision as you did Alex. You'll have larger windows so there will be lots of great natural light. Sounds good to me. :)

Hey Alex & Vanessa,
Thanks for all the info on the other Greenways.
Yes it is a 50ft lot! To make a long story short, we originally bought in Phase 4 buy Mattamy needed to move us. Our Phase 4 lot backed on to greenspace too, so they offered us this lot which came with a much earlier closing date. ( I guess my user name nees to be Phase 3 greenway now, LOL!)

It you like the lot so much you can feel free to drop by and enjoy the view sometime! Good neighbours serve good wine!

Hey! I was there too! I did not get out of my car as there were lots of guys working there and I didn't think they would let me into someone else's house. I haven't joined the FB community - I guess I should! I'll check it out tomorrow! It's been a long day........

We love our Elevation "A". Great choices you made on your model. We chose to not go with the 9' ceilings on the second storey but made similar selections to yours otherwise. In addition we chose the alternate second floor plan, chef's kitchen, hardwood in the family room, diningroom and upstairs hall, upgraded tile in entry and kitchen, crown moulding throughout, upgraded garage door, rounded corner bead throughout. For the most part we are quite pleased with the end result but they have some finishing touches to get together. The outside isn't a lot to write about as far as asthetic beauty but we are really impressed with how the inside turned out. Getting everything done before we moved in may have been more expensive but our lives won't be interupted for us to make our improvements. If you'd like to see it just send me a message and we can set up a time.
