Recently got the call that our brick package was discontinued, had to get into the office today to choose another brick. Looks like it has affected quite a few bricks! Hopefully our second choice won't be discontinued too.

That has to be upsetting. I think my wife and I ran into you during your reselect.

What package did you originally have, what did you conclude to?

I don't like the fact that when you pick your brick...then they say this is the package that goes with it....

the last house we built...we picked everything...shingles, siding, eves, colour of doors etc...........I love my brick but wanted different colours for everything else than what they offered

Yes, it was a bib frustrating. I really like dark darker brick but it was tough to choose beacause of the colour packages. Usually builders allow more choice with the outside colours but then again they don't have the selection Mattamy has. I had picked the cs -29 package but ended up going with the cs-13 wakefield brick. Too bad we couldn't switch the brick, I really liked the colur package of the cs-29 it had a great roof and dark trim!

I guess the plant shut down thus causing the discontinuation, and I was warned that there may be more.

What brick did you guys go with?

We were stressed leading up to the brick selection because the bricks we did like didn't go with the siding/shakes/trim/shingles we liked and vice versa, which seems to be a familiar story. At the last minute they introduced some new brick packages and we ended up liking the one they offered for our elevation - CS-28 (Caledonia).

The Wakefield is a really nice dark brick too...and we did like the dark shakes they put with that one.

We went with the Wakefield brick and love it!:) Think oura was cs17 package
