Waiting for my design book... it's been a month since we bought and I am really looking forward to see how much the upgrades I want will cost.
Hope it come in soon.
Hi,
When you buy a Mattamy home you learn patience......lol It seems like a long wait from the time you buy until possession ( for me about 15 months)......lol
I bought in July and I think I got my design book in November.
While you wait for the design guide, spend as much time as you can at the design centre and talk to people on line, especially the people that bought the same model.......

I purchased in end of July as well so I guess I can expect my design book to not be ready until November as well. They told me I should have my design appointment some time betwee late october and mid november. So I guess I should get it before then. It probably has something to do with when you close.

Just got the call that my book is in. :)
Going to pick it up tomorrow. I can't imagine waiting 15 months to close. I thought that 8 months was long.

We got ours a few weeks ago and have already scheduled our first design appointment for the end of november. We haven't even gotten a call to come in a choose our brick yet. Wonder what the hold up is with that??

what I didn't like about the brick apt is when you pick your brick ...they hand you the package that goes with it..
you don't pick you eves, or door paint, or siding colour

I wouldn't wait for the call for the brick appointment. This is where being a little pushy pays off. We chose our brick on a weekend at the sales office. We just happened to be there a few days after the brick selections came in and we got one of the better brick choices. Brick makes such a difference, you don't want to get stuck with an ugly one and there's alot of ugly ones.
Go to the sales office every weekend if you can and gently ask if the brick selections have come in yet and if you could choose yours while you are there. They'll have you sign something. I think they're supposed to do it in order of closing but in reality it seems to be first come first served.

I think its still first sold first choice. However depending on your model and elevation some of those choices wont be the same anyway as I think they still have three different series to choose from. We got our choice because the two hoses next to us didnt have our selection in their series. We got wakefield.

We keep calling them every week and they keep telling us that the 3 houses that get to pick before us have not picked yet. There is one across the street that gets to go first and 2 beside us that get to go second and third.
