They go in as soon as they come in from Aya which is not as according to the schedule Mattamy gives you which is supposed to be about 35 days. I think ours were in about 20 days before we closed. Some people might be sooner, some even later.

It only seems to take them about a day or two to install so when you see cabinetry inside your house it should be installed very soon after that. They do a rush job installing the cabinetry so you will see alot of defects. Make sure you spend lots of time taking notes in preparation for your PDI.

I know they put the marble in our shower an there is a crack in it...I told them about it but they haven't done anything yet.

The shower seats take a while to fix ... you might be waiting weeks or months for the new slab to come in. We had a problem with our seat sloping the wrong way. Our shower seat looked like it had a crack in it too but it wasn't a crack. We actually chose to keep the existing slab because it was a better match than the new one and it came out cleanly.

If you're lucky there won't be that many defects in the cabinetry. Ours wasn't too bad and we have alot of cabinets. Some people do have alot of defects though. They will replace the defective doors but it might take some time to get them in because Aya has a 6 week lead time for everything.

Make sure you spend some time even before your PDI going over the cabinetry. Look for cracks in the doors and to make sure the doors and drawers are aligned properly. They will also do touch ups of some doors but I would only accept minor touch ups. If the touch up is very noticeable ask for replacements. Check the cabinetry on the outside and inside for cracks.

Claudia, Im sure they had the Stoneworx people by to template and measure for the granite for the cuts etc on your surface where the granite will be. As long as its a common granite you should be alright! And From here on in you can forget getting in especially when the granite is in. They wont want it to go missing!
The Granite is beautiful as we went with it as well and were worried I wasnt gonna be in on time but it was in before clsoing!

As suggested by a member here we programmed the wiser lock for the garage entry door before they locked the front doors. Since they always leave the garage open we could punch in our code and snoop around our house all we wanted before closing.

we tried that....a neighbour told us...and it doesn't work. we think something is wrong with the lock, or they got wise to it and did something that prevents it from working.

we talked to the guy in charge of our house and he said they had been in to measure for the granite...and it will be here by this Friday........
