good or bad news unsure i would like my house made on the spot myself.

evelopments where the houses are completely assembled inside a factory, moved by a special transporter and placed on the foundation.

Here is what they are doing in Milton... wish they were doing it for us.

You're kidding me, no offense but nobody in Milton likes the prefab homes, they are filled with problems

and most of the labor is done by unqualified employees

in our homes when they install the kitchen, the cabinet maker is the one who installs, in the prefab they just drop the cabinets off and "joe six pack" installs the kitchen

you don't want that type of construction, not in a million years

I just like the idea that during the construction phase the interior is protected from the elements. I'm in a phase 3 house in Milton right now... long before they started with the prefab stuff so I'm not familiar with their problems.

I think the key here is to have qualified people do the work, regardless of location. Example: In our first house (another phase 3 Mattamy in Milton) our dryer did not vent to the outside of the house but rather just behind the vapor barrier. Made for some soggy insulation.
