Hey Everyone,
Being in the house for a couple days now I've noticed it's VERY dry in here. We're looking at getting a Humidifier that connects to the furnace.
Anyone have any recommendations as to where to get it from?
Thanks in advance!
(And yes, we'll be getting a dehumidifier for the basement to help with the drying process)

I would contact Applewood or whoever installed your furnace. They'll likely give you a deal on the appropriate system.

I would call Aircor Ltd. 519-220-0701
Located in Hespeler minutes from Mill Pond.
Check out the prices on the facebook site as well for the A/C's we could install. Carlos had called Chris for a quote on a group buy and he posted the prices. Humidifiers would probably be in the 300-350 range installed. Flow through design means a fresh trickle of water. No leaks unlike the drum type humidifier. General Aire is the brand I think they have a website not to sure though. Units are identical to Honeywell.
$180 plus 2-3 hours of your time:

If you are going to get a whole house humidifier, you should get a really good one or you'll be disappointed.
We have one in our current house and although we bought a commercial one which was not cheap I still found it wasn't working as well as I would have liked.
For the new house I'm going to get the best one available even if it costs over $1000 to $2000.
A whole house humidifier is great for hardwood floors and makes for great hair days! Imagine all the money you'll save not having to use excessive hair care products trying to get your hair under control. And it's good for your skin, you'll need less moisturizer and age more slowly. A great humidifier could ward off cosmetic surgery in your future!

A humidifier has not even been imagined never mind created that will help the reflective properties of my head. :(

What he said. :D
Whenever I tell my husband that the humidifier is not working properly he says he's checked everything and it's working perfectly. I tell him that's not what my hair says! That's the only test I need to do.
At what relative humidity do you have problems with your hair?

Pretty much anything that doesn't feel like I'm in a tropical forest! :)
Even at 40 to 45 degrees it was a problem.
Actually when I used a portable humidifier my hair looked great. I used to use it only in the bedroom at night but it makes too much noise.
