Hello everyone!
You've probably read my other thread about central a/c's but I just wanted to inform everyone that I'm also a certified gas technician so If a gas line is needed then I can do it at a fraction of the cost. I think Mattamy charges close to 450 bucks for a BBQ or stove or dryer line, I will charge between 200 and 300 and thats with appliance hook-up included based on length of run required.

Thanks again everyone

what about a waterline to the garage.?

I asked my husband about this - he's a plumber. He said it's not a good idea, because if it's not suffiently insulated, it may freeze and burst. What did you have in mind?

I think there's supposed to be a hosebib on the front of the house for this purpose included from Mattamy? Anyone else remember this?

I think the hose bib is actually placed in the garage itself normally. We didn't pay for it as an upgrade.

We had picked (Or moved, I can't remember) the location of the hose bib in the garage.

Justmed,

are you referring to the hose bib or the gas line?

The one benefit of going with Mattamy for the gas line is that they embed it into the brick and it will come off the house like a hose bib instead of running piping along the exterior of your home... if that makes you feel any better about getting this upgrade.

Hespeler Boy, we also opted for the Mattamy BBQ gas line; though we might contact you to do the hook up to the BBQ, if it's just capped.

you can still have the gas line coming out of the brick......you just drill a hole
