Hello everyone!
I just purchased lot 237-1 in Phase 4, Hespeler end unit.
I would like to inform everyone that I work for a company called Aircor based right here in Hespeler!
We're giving smokin deals on central A/c's for the new Mattamy home owners!
If you've got a townhouse it'll only cost you 1700 bucks for a new a/c rather than paying the 3 or so thousand that Mattamy charges.
If you have any questions please post back..Thanks for your time!

We install Luxaire units which are manufactured by York. Very dependable and quiet units. Your home is 1500 square feet so you would go with a 1.5 ton unit which has cooling capacity up to 1800 square feet. Since your home is brand new the basement is unfinished so installation would be quite simple. Just keep in mind about Cambridge's property line law about keeping your A/C 3 feet from the property line between you and your neighbor. Mattamy builds homes close together so most units are installed in backyards and not on the side, unless your neighbor doesn't mind.
The units are 13 SEER which is very efficient. It uses less than 10 amps of current while running. They come with a 5 year parts warranty and are installed on wall brackets attached to your foundation.
Hopefully that answers some of your questions that you have.
When is your closing date and what street is your lot located on?

1.5 ton units are $1700 installed (up to 1800 sq feet)
2.0 ton units are $1750 installed (1800-2300 sq feet)
2.5 ton units are $1900 installed (2300-2800 sq feet)

Good to know Hespeler Boy!
Will definitely keep you in mind when we're looking for A/C next summer (Don't close til Feb, so we won't need it until June-ish!)
I think I would go with the 2000sqft model as we have plans to finish the basement after the 2 year mandatory wait time!

awesome... we didnt get the AC upgrade for that reason, they were only offering 1.5 ton and we wanted to go with the 2 ton just for convenience sake and Mattamy was way too much in that regard.
will definitely keep you in mind come summer time:)

Fletcher....I'm actuall the installer so it'll be myslef doing all the work. We're a very small company based in Hespeler of just 2 guys. But I'm hoping to do the job on the side that way I can give better pricing. The warranty will still be the same as if you purchased through the company just a lesser price you would have to pay.

Great to know hespeler boy! I will definately give you a call when I get there in April 2009! We got a 2042 square foot home so that would be in the 2 ton range, and I saw your price! Are all the Ac units puron now? Cause that is what i am looking for? Thanks!

Hello Style, you're quite lucky to be moving in so soon, my official closing day is when the winter olympics come to Canada! 2010!
To answer you're question about the Puron, not all units are made with the 410A refrigerant just yet. The old R22 is slowly being phased out, but it is still in production until the year 2020. If installed correctly the R22 has absolutely no harm to the environment and both refrigerants give the same cooling effect. There is a cost difference of $100 to upgrade to 410A, simply because the refrigerant is new and costs more to manufacture. I am actually putting a 410A unit on my home simply because I think the black grill around the unit has a nicer look than the standard beige units. Please feel free to ask any more questions you've got.

So you are saying that a 2 ton 13 seer Ac unit with Puron would be 1850.00 installed on brackets to the foundation of your home! If so sounds really good! What about a AprilAir humidifier as well! Would definately be interested in doing something for a Ac unit!

Yes a 2 ton 410A system on brackets for 1850. I can put a Humidifier on for 250 bucks extra. If you are getting hardwood for your home I would recommend putting one on for sure.

Well its something to definately follow up on! We have oak stairs and hardwood in the new home and as we know in our current home it is better to have a Humidifier with hardwood! Thanks hespeler boy I will definately give you a call when we move in and get settled! I will go for the 2 ton with puron as well!

When would we need to schedule an appointment with you? We move in at the end of February, but my wife would like it done as soon as possible. Also I have your cell number but what is your name?

Hey everyone!...my name is Shaunn and anyone can call me at anytime on my cell @ 519-212-8572 to reach me. I also live in Hespeler so we're keeping it local! Those prices will probably not go up, typically A/C prices usually drop 50 bucks a year or so, but when we talk I will be able to give you a definite price on the system you would need.
Some great information there! We're putting maple hardwood in on the main floor; and we're looking to get an A/C unit probably installed in the Spring. We close in February, but I don't think we'll be needing it right then!

I will look into that particular model for you on Monday when our supplier is open so I can get the definite price.
They are closed for the holiday and will open again on the 29th. I can tell you that that model is really impressive, very quite and efficient, not to mention extremely slick looking!
Not to worry we installed at least a hundred A/C's in the Upeer Country Club Mattamy subdivision and had no problems with existing furnace warranties. Like Style said I think the builder uses scare tactics to convince you to go with their contractor because they will see a cut of the profits. If something did happen to your furnace the parts should be covered for at least 5 years if you call a carrier contractor (or whatever the brand is) to service the furnace. A labour warranty is usually contingent upon you maintaining your furnace annually with the contractor who initially installed your furnace. That will probably not happen since Applewood is based in Toronto they will not drive 100kms for a tune-up once a year.
