I got a quote from an installer in Cambridge
these are all Carrier 2.5 Ton (2500sq ft house)
13 SEER Base (same as Mattamy) 2598$
13 SEER Comfort 2998$
14 SEER Comfort 3298$
15 SEER Performance 3798$
these are single prices I didn't get into group pricing until I know how many people I have onboard
the performance series is about 50% quiter than the comfort series, they are the quietest AC on the market and include 10 yr compressor and 5 year full unit warranty, and they will take over the furnace warranty
prices include installation and wall bracket but exclude 5% GST
Once I know how many people are in, then I'll go see what we can be offered

If you contact Aircor Ltd at 519-220-0701, we would give you a way better price on a similar unit

just wanted to send out a thankyou to Aircor and their terrific team. Chris was first class all the way and his team of Shaunn and Chris were terrific and very efficient and professional in my install today! Even in th eterrible rainy conditions these guys had to endure today not to mention the mud!
I would definately say you should take a good look at Aircor in town! They are local and they have great products for a even better price! I'm glad that Carlos worked out the group install for us through Aircor as like I said the whole experience was great and their service was exceptional!
Thanks Chris and Shaunn for the great work and product! Look forward to working with ya for my annual servicing of my unit!

We bought ours in a group of 4 so we got a better deal. two were installed yesterday and the other 2 are on friday I believe! Give Chris a call and he can give you a general ideal what you would be looking at! I imagine you would be a 1.5 ton unit anyway so it will be a good price.
Their units are nice and they are backed with a good warranty. Plus you are dealing directly with a local dealer who is minutes away from the community.
Like I said give Chris a call at 519 220-0701 and he would be more then happy to answer any questions you have! They have cash deals and will work with you in anyway.
I am in no way affiliated with them at all, but i got my install done yesterday before they get really busy and am more then happy with the service and the price.
heck tell them Frank referred you and see what they can do for ya!:D

Hey Style....what brand did you have installed?
It was a 2 ton 410A Luxaire Unit that is a brand of York! I Hear most of the compressors and condensors are more less standard anyway! In reality some may be better then others yes but much like anything else in life you pay a huge markup on the name anyway!
In this business of sales in this market everyone rips the competition for the sale. I dont justify paying as much as mattamy wanted after their markup for a unit that will do the same thing anyway! It cools for three months of the year so why pay more then whats fair!
Just my two cents! Really its personal preference but like I said I dont pay for name I pay for what does the job!:D

Good News! Better to get it before he gets really busy! Not to mention its gonna start to get warm soon! I can't wait to fire my unit up when it gets hot and not have to worry about opening windows and letting the dust and dirt fly in!:D

yup, after speaking with Chris and getting some other quotes we were very pleased with his knowledge and honesty, added to your reference of solid workmanship on install and we went with him after we got the quote since our wire would be a little longer etc.
that was the reason we wanted to tick it off the list now, and not have to wait 3-4 weeks once we found a guy we liked and were happy with.

to your side of the 3 windows. Chris took measurements and said we'd be OK over there. no other spot was viable really, with our NG line by the patio door and the neighbors house coming out.

I would love it if we could put it out front - we have a spot by our patio that we could neatly hide with a shrub and then it won't be noisy in the back. But i'm sure that breaks some kind of bylaw.

No kidding - I know it's only April, but our house was HOT on Saturday. I don't think I can get through the summer without one.

Plus you can keep the windows closed and prevent an inch of dust on your window sills:rolleyes:
I was in Indianapolis last week for work and it was 30+ very day... so nice.
Denver got 10 inches of snow after 30's last week too... hope we dont get that:eek:

I love Indy - At my last job I used to go there several times a year....It's a beautiful city. The last time I was there was in October for a conference.
Josh and I are planning a trip in the fall to see the Colts at their new stadium.
Heard it's supposed to be 9C tomorrow - so enjoy today!!!

Just curious - did you fly out of Waterloo for your trip?
I'm booking for Chicago next month and I'm wondering if it's worth it to go to Waterloo and then switch in Detroit instead of going to Pearson.

I wish I got to see the city. I go every year for the industry's largest trade show for 30,000 firefighters across North America, but the days are long and then working at the hotel on regular stuff I never get to see much other than I-70 and the area around the convention centre.
Lucas Oil looked amazing, they have exhibits in there. Way nice than the RCA dome. Weird seeing nothing on the horizon when driving in though, RCA is totally gone.
I drove down, 2 cases for my booth and we cant ship them. 7.5 hours so not too bad. Personally Id still think Pearson is your best bet.

just thought I'd reitterate what was said about Chris and Sean and (sorry i cant remember your name) and the work they do.
2 thumbs up. In and out like they were never here, save for the nice AC unit they installed. Work was great, with my house and what my future plans were a thought for them on where things were installed and run along.
appreciated the honesty, and knowledge of the unit as well.

If they're playing the Chargers maybe I can hitch a ride...I'll even chip in for gas! I'd love to see Peyton cry in person! :D

We saw the Chargers play last fall when we were in San Diego. Really fun game and cool stadium....that time they made Brett Favre cry.
Still don't like them though...I can't stand Rivers.

Hey Everyone, :)
We just got our A/C installed by Hearth and Home yesterday and LOVE it!!
Mike Cyperling the sales guy was amazingly friendly, HONEST, and gave us great and very competitive pricing!
We also got our Water softener with them, an EcoWater System for WAY less than what EcoWater is selling it for!!!
If you purchase both A/C and the Water Softener they will throw in an even better price!
Mike was great and the installation guys were also great!
I would highly recommend Mike from H&H to anyone in Millpond if you want an honest reputable dealer at a competitive price!
PM me if you'd like his cell number.
ETA: They also take on the warranty of the furnace for 10 years. They also connected our BBQ gas line for us at no charge!

Hi freckles06.
No we didn't get the water softener rough in nor did we pay extra because we didn't have it. :)
freckles06, we didn't get the water softener rough in either. It costs too much and whoever does your water softener installation can do whatever needs doing for a whole lot less than what Mattamy charges.
