We got A LOT of upgrades in our Thompson...about $40k in total.

Upgraded ensuite
Fireside Gathering in Great Room
Tile mantle for fireplace (like in the Thompson model)
Rec Room ready basement
Oak Hardwood in Formal Room and Great Room
All Oak staircase with stain
Smooth ceiling on 1st level
Next Step (finished stairs to basement)
Steel garage door
Pantry
Tile back splash in kitchen
Upgraded gas line
Rough in for Natural Gas BBQ in backyard
Some upgraded tile and installed at 45
Upgraded underpad
Some extra lighting
Cat5e to replace all regular bell wiring, plus Cat5e to every room
Plus some other stuff...

We might have gone a bit overboard.

Once you get the Design Guide book from the design centre, all the pricing will be there for you. I would bet that if you walk and ask for one, they might just give you one. If not, give me a list of upgrades that you're considering and I'll give you the prices out of my book.

Thanx for replying. Did you ask someone in the design centre for the upgrade book or in the sales office?

I'm interested in these upgrades and possibly more, thanx again for your time, ok here we go upgraded underpad, backsplash in kitchen, gas line, pantry, upgraded paint, hardwood flooring, kitchen cabinets, jacuzzi, anyway these are just a few when I can think of some more I will let you know.

Again thanx for your time.

Underpad is per room and only cost us a few hundred for all of the upstairs
backsplash is also dependent on style and ranges from $500 - $1400. Ours was about $1000
gas line is only $150ish (I believe)
Pantry was about $2000
I have no idea about the paint...sorry
hardwood is per room and style and ours was about $5000 for the dining and great rooms
cabinets vary GREATLY depending on style. Plus, the pricing that we have is still from when Canac was supplying the base cabinets. I'm sure that the prices have changed now that Aya is the only option.
Jacuzzi from the soaker included with the upgraded ensuite was a few thousand from what I remember.

Sorry I can't be more accurate, but almost all of these a dependent on variables. Your best bet is to stop by the design centre and grab an upgrade binder.

Hello Anxious F:

Will they give me the design binder if I ask for it? When we bought our Mattamy in milton in 2001 we couldn't get upgrade prices until we were actually ready to select our upgrades.

so you think if i just walk in and tell them that we currently own a Mattamy in milton and that we are planning to move to Mill Pond that they'll actually give me a binder?

Is there somebody that i should ask foror just ask who ever is there?

Thanx again,

John M.

Your best bet would be to come up on a weekend, during their open house, and ask someone at the design centre if you can browse one of the books. Each binder has the homeowner's name on it so I don't know if they would GIVE you one to take, but they may let you look through it while you're there.

I can always give you more exact pricing from our book, but I'm not sure if the prices are still the same.

They may let you take a look at a design guide then again Maybe not! :) Maybe they will tell you to buy first!:) I know when we bought they only gave us basic prices on like two sheets for upgrades that were priced the same in most 34 foot models like bell rough in, extra cable, shower door, round beading on arched entrances etc!
Waiting till they called us for our orientation was horrible especially since we had no ballpark figure to go by! It was there that they give you YOUR own design guide and from there you will set up a date for your structural appointment and later your design appointment!

I remember I asked to see a design guide before my orientation AFTER we purchased when we went in on Weekends and WE were flat out told NO that we would have to wait!

With todays economical slowdown you might have more luck since Im sure they dont wanna turn a potential customer away!

So why the possible move from Milton to Millpond!
