Hi Everyone,
I thought I would post some (hopefully) useful information about Topsoil and Sod Placement within the community.
I am getting this information directly from the Mattamy University handout.
Spring 2009 - Topsoil Placement and Grading
- A month or two after topsoil placement and grading you will get sod.
- Remaining months are allowed time for natural settlement.
Spring 2010 - Post Sod Inspection
Summer 2010 - Lot Certification
- Curb and Sidewalk repairs
Fall 2011 - Assumption
************************************************** *********
It is a seasonal installation. If you close in the summer and miss the sod schedule then you won't get it until the following year.
Sodded within 3 months for May-September closings inclusive
Sodded the following May, June, July for winter closings
Sodding generally occurs in continuous blocks of homes (not necessarily in closing date order)
To accommodate surrounding construction completion, partial backyards are sodded.
