Mattamy University - September 25th

Kevin and I were invited to the Mattamy U on Sept 25th!

I'm excited to go as I always love to learn new things about the development!

Just wondering which other Mill Pond'ers will we meet there :)

what happens at Mattamy U?

Im out of the loop, seen it being talked about and I just nod my head in accordance, lol.

We met some of our neighbors already when we went in to get our design guide. Maybe we did it differently in the townhouses...:confused:

Mattamy U is a night where you will get to meet your neighbours, find out information and dates about when they'll be starting what on your house.

From what I have heard and seen from other forums, they will tell you things like: when they expect to lay sod, pave the driveway and things to do with the building of your house.

You also are allowed to ask any questions you may have. I think you even get a package of something (Read that on another forum for a Mattamy development)

I'm sure we will all have a better understanding when people come back from MU on tomorrow evening!

definitely fast approaching. We met one of our neighbors when we were signing the papers (we had to go back next day since I had a wedding to go to after we gave our cheques) and he was a really nice guy.

Mattamy U was great. We learnt a whole bunch of things!
We didn't get to meet our actual neighbours but we got to meet some awesome people a couple houses down on both sides of us! I think we are going to have a great community!

Now where is my calendar to start checking these things off LOL

dont know if its just me, but we found the meeting to be about stuff we already knew about.

Probably because we are usually trying to be pro-active in finding info, but it was kinda a waste for us IMO

Paul - were you surprised by how few people were there? I mean, if it was for all of phase 1 - shouldn't there have been more than 15 families? (a rough guess?!?) At first I thought there were quite a few then I realized that 1/2 of them were Mattamy employees. I thought more people would be interested in the process but I guess not.

Didn't get an invite here, but only closing in May 2010. I'm guessing this was for the townhouse owners in phase 4?
